Session 2 Course Materials

This Session Covers:

  • Capturing Clips from Video Camera
  • Exporting edited clips as video file

  • Use of Opacity/Volume Handlers
  • Adjusting Video properties (eg. color, brightness)
  • Use of Transitions/Audio Effects

  • Use of Adobe Title Designer
  • Adding Titles to Video

  • Microsoft Powerpoint Presentation: Lesson 2.ppt

The powerpoint is only useful as triggers for different functions of the software and shows the more detailed outline of the course for that session. It cannot be used as a guide or manual to the software, so try to pay attention to the demonstrations in class.

  • Video Clip: Sharky Raw
  • Audio Clip: Sharky Voice
  • Note that the above video and audio files should not be freely distributed and Sensorium Vale reserves all rights to the video (the audio belongs wholly to Irvin).

In this Hands-on!, students are encouraged to try synchronising the audio with the video after editing out the correct portions and then adding subtitles to a small portion of the 'speech'. An overall introductory title would also be good. Video transitions learnt can be used to move through the 3 separate 'news' segments. Students can try exporting a small version of their video using both the conventional exporting method as well as the media encoder.
